  FAQ'S

What days are you open?

I work from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and am available by phone or email on these days.  I see clients on Tuesdays and Thursdays only with evening appointments on those days by request.

Do you do online consultations?

Yes, I do Skype and phone/email consultations for those who cannot come to the clinic.  These can be done from Monday to Friday at a time that suits us both.

Where are you located?

The address is The Bodyright Clinic on Fair Street, Drogheda, County Louth, A92 DTW8.  There is plenty of paid on-street parking nearby.

How many consultations will I need?

This depends on factors such as the nature of your health problem and how long your symptoms have been present.  Usually people will notice improvements quite quickly, that is within 4 to 8 weeks.  The average number of consultations a person needs is three, spread over 12 weeks.  Your ability to make changes also affects the number of visits you need to achieve your goals.  More complex cases can take more time before results are seen. Nonetheless, you can be confident that you will receive ongoing support during your treatment.

What are your fees?

€120 for the initial consultation plus plan.

€60 for review consultations.

3 consultation packages available at a discounted rate of €225.

I am on prescription medications from my GP. Is this taken into account during the consultation?

Absolutely, you must let me know the medications that you are currently taking.  A qualified nutritional therapist is trained to identify drug-nutrient interactions and contraindications of various foods and supplements with medications.    We will ensure that our recommendations comply with your prescription medication. Medication must not be stopped without prior consent from your doctor.

Is nutrition therapy covered under my private health insurance?

At present, nutritional therapy is covered under Irish Life Health.

I am currently seeing a GP/specialist for a particular condition. Is nutritional therapy appropriate in these cases.

Nutritional Therapy works very well alongside conventional medicine. If necessary, we can liaise with your doctor regarding your nutritional programme.

What is the difference between a nutritional therapist, a dietitian and a nutritionist.

Nutritional Therapists and Dietitians are experts in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease. They advise people on what to eat in order to support a healthy lifestyle or achieve a specific health-related goal

One distinct difference is that Nutritional Therapists don’t work in hospital settings and are not trained in critical care nutrition management.  More info in this link
