Satisfy your sweet cravings with this healthy snack of chocolate and peanut butter dates.
Â
These little mouthfuls really hit the spot when you’re craving something sweet.
Â
Dates contain fibre, minerals and some antioxidants, so even though they contain a fairly high amount of fruit sugar enjoying one or two of these every now and then is fine.
Â
You can substitute the nut butter for a nut, something like a hazelnut or almond would work well.
Â
The little bit of protein and the fibre in this recipe helps to stop your blood sugar from spiking too high, making them a sweet treat that is actually good for you.
Â

All you need is:
Medjool dates
Nut butter of your choice
Dark chocolate 85%+
Flaky sea salt.
Â
Method:
De-stone your Medjool dates. Put a tiny dollop of nut butter in the middle and roll them in the melted dark chocolate. Sprinkle with flaky salt and refrigerate until the chocolate has hardened.
Â
Don’t make the rookie mistake that I did, use parchment paper under your chocolate dates so they don’t stick to the plate (you can always lick the plate either I suppose)!
